Ehsan Baharlou will participate in the UVA OVPR Robotics + X Symposium on January 30, 2026, at Newcomb Hall (Commonwealth Room), University of Virginia. Organized by UVA’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, the symposium brings together faculty from across UVA’s schools to explore how robotics can catalyze discovery across disciplines. Baharlou will present on the intersection of robotic additive manufacturing, living building materials, and material ecologies, examining how computational fabrication and biological systems can be integrated to advance sustainable construction. The event features research presentations, robot demonstrations, tutorials, and panel discussions aimed at seeding new interdisciplinary collaborations and positioning UVA as a national leader in embodied physical AI.
